Think things are bad now? Just imagine… it could be much worse.
As a writer, I sometimes ask myself “what if?” and the answer to this one is terrifying. What if the election really was rigged and Trump won? Here’s a scenario for you…
Trump wins by a landslide, and Democrats know for certain Republicans rigged the election. Democrats file multiple lawsuits which Trump-appointed judges reject, and eventually they stage a multitude of massive peaceful protests nation-wide, centering in Washington, DC. The intention is to remain peaceful, but unfortunately things turn violent as police use tear gas and rubber bullets to control the crowds. According to the government, the Democrats who organized all this are “insurgents.” One by one, they are rounded up and arrested for treason. Biden, Harris, Schumer, Pelosi… all put in jail for “attempted insurrection” and suddenly, we have a totalitarian government controlled by an unhinged maniacal president hell-bent on keeping absolute power.
Election security and transparency needs to be a top priority of the new administration if we are going to stave off scenes like this in the future. Somehow, we need to convince the millions of people who voted for Trump that the election was free and fair. And in the meantime… let’s be grateful Biden won.
